Accidental snooze: iPhone 4 alarm clock glitch reported in UK

Today some Apple iPhone 4 users in the UK reported a bug that caused their alarm clocks to go off an hour late. The bug apparently resulted from a Daylight Savings switch in the UK over the weekend, according to the Telegraph UK. While the clocks switched to the correct time, the alarm clocks did not automatically adjust themselves for the change. Apple has not commented on the alarm clock bug, but it could potentially happen again in the United States next week when we switch our clocks on the first Sunday of November.

Samsung Galaxy Tab now available in UK

Today is launch day for the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the UK. The Galaxy Tab is a 7-inch Android Tablet that's making its debut today from Carphone Warehouse. The Galaxy Tab will also launch on O2 today, and T-Mobile has said that it will offer the Tab in the UK as well. India will not ban BlackBerry smartphones, for now

Following the United Arab Emirates, India has told Research In Motion that it will not ban its BlackBerry smartphones, for now. RIM and India reached an agreement whereby the Indian government has "an interim arrangement for lawful interception of BlackBerry messenger services, " according to the AP. A government official told Reuters that "The services will continue to be available," and RIM has agreed to offer a full solution to India by January. Originally India told RIM it would ban BlackBerry devices by Oct 31, and on October 12, it pushed that deadline to January 31.

Apple countersues Motorola for patent infringement

Earlier this month Motorola announced that it was suing Apple for patent infringement, alleging that the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and some Mac computers were infringing on 20 of Motorola's patents. Apple has flipped the tables and is now countersuing Motorola for patent infringement. Apple believes that Motorola's Android phones, including the DROID, DROID 2, DROID X, CLIQ, CLIQ XT, BACKFLIP, DEVOUR, i1, and CHARM, are infringing on six of its patents related to multitouch and operating systems.
