Clearwire activates CLEAR 4G WiMAX in Sacramento

Today Clearwire announced that its CLEAR 4G WiMAX network is now available in Sacramento. The network there covers 1.2 million people. New customers can take advantage of an online-only promotion that offers a 50 percent discount on their service plan for the first two months. Clearwire's 4G WiMAX network is available in 63 markets across the United States.

Swype for Android updated with voice-to-text

Swype for Android has been updated with a number of new features. The popular virtual keyboard now supports double-tap-to-edit, which allows users to tap a word twice to bring up a word choice menu to replace any text they have already typed. Swype also now has a voice-to-text button on phone's that are already equipped with Google Voice Search. Finally, Swype has also fixed an accuracy issue that occurred in the last beta updated. Dell Streak to finally receive Android 2.2 Froyo update

According to Dell, its Streak, an Android tablet phone that sports a large 5-inch display, is ready to finally receive Google's Android 2.2 Froyo update. On its Facebook page, Dell UK stated, "Dell Streak will begin a rollout of the 2.2 update OTA before the end of Nov. This is happening over a period of time and staggered by region, starting in the UK."
