Apple supply manager arrested for taking kickbacks, money laundering Posted: 14 Aug 2010 09:49 AM PDT An Apple global supply manager named Paul Shin Devine, has been arrested with Andrew Ang for accepting more than $1 million in kickbacks, according to Mercury News. Devine allegedly took the money from Asian iPhone and iPoad accessory suppliers and faces charges for money laundering and wire fraud as well. "Apple is committed to the highest ethical standards in the way we do business. We have zero tolerance for dishonest behavior inside or outside the company," Steve Dowling, an Apple spokesperson, told Mercury News. Read the full story here. |

Verizon's Motorola DROID to get second Froyo update, Flash 10.1 support Posted: 14 Aug 2010 07:23 AM PDT Verizon has confirmed that its original Motorola DROID smartphone will soon receive a second Android 2.2 Froyo firmware update that will add support for Adobe's Flash Player 10.1 to the device. According to Verizon, the second update will be available in the next few weeks and will allow users to then download the Adobe Flash Player from the Android Market under the Verizon Tab. The player will allow improved web browsing with Flash-powered websites and Flash-based applications. Read the full story here. |
