Facebook updates Android application with battery life fix Posted: 09 Aug 2010 05:15 AM PDT Last week Facebook updated its Android application to version 1.3, which includes a host of new features. Shortly after, many users reported that the software was causing a large impact on their device's battery life. Facebook noted the bug on Sunday and said that it was working on a fix. RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 to support BlackBerry OS 6 Posted: 09 Aug 2010 05:05 AM PDT Today Research in Motion (RIM) officially announced the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300), which was revealed on Rogers last week. In the press release, RIM notes that the device is "BlackBerry 6 ready," RIM's new operating system that's making its debut on the AT&T BlackBerry 9800. RIM wasn't specific as to when BlackBerry OS 6 would be pushed out to the device, and just said that it would happen in "the coming months." Read the full story here. |
Nokia updates 5800, 5530 smartphone firmware Posted: 09 Aug 2010 04:55 AM PDT Nokia has updated the firmware for both the 5800 and the 5530. The updates, which were issued over the air, are said to improve the browser and music player, as well as fix some small bugs. Samsung shows SGH-A927 Flight II for AT&T Posted: 08 Aug 2010 08:18 AM PDT Yesterday Samsung USA posted some information on a new feature phone called the Flight II for AT&T. The phone features a slide out QWERTY keyboard, a 3-inch touchscreen, and Mobile TV support. According to information that had been posted on the Samsung site, it should be available exclusively from Radio Shack now.
