Swype keyboard to land on 50 devices by end of 2010, eyes set on iPhone Posted: 24 Jun 2010 05:07 AM PDT Swype, the popular virtual QWERTY keyboard that offers a unique form of input which allows users to "swype" from one letter to another, could be available on as many as 50 devices by the end of 2010. The company even has its eyes on licensing its software to Apple for use on the iPhone, and already has a working version of that product, according to Reuters. Swype has launched on a number of U.S. Android and Windows Mobile handsets, including the Motorola CLIQ XT, Samsung Omnia II, and the Motorola DROID X that launched yesterday. Nokia: N8 to be last Symbian Nseries smartphone, future lies with MeeGo Posted: 23 Jun 2010 09:12 AM PDT CNET Australia is reporting that Nokia officials have told it that the upcoming N8 touchscreen smartphone will be the last Nseries device from Nokia to run the Symbian/S60 platform, and that future Nseries devices will run the Linux-based MeeGo OS that was born when Nokia's Maemo OS was merged with Intel's Moblin OS.
