Google upset with Apple's new advertising rules Posted: 09 Jun 2010 01:19 PM PDT Omar Hamou, founder of Google's AdMob, expressed concerns with Apple's new advertising policies for its iAd products. For one, developers won't be able to use Google's AdMob technology to advertise on Apple products. That's a big deal, considering AdMob ran one-third of the ads on Apple products in April. QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite for Android now available Posted: 09 Jun 2010 09:19 AM PDT Today QuickOffice Inc. launched QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite for Android smartphones running Android 1.6 or newer. QuickOffice for viewing documents has been available for over a year, but Connect Mobile Suite adds a few new features, such as the ability to edit Microsoft Office files and save them to cloud storage services including Apple MobileMe, Google Docs, Box.net, and Dropbox. HTC Wildfire Android smartphone preorders begin on Vodafone U.K. Posted: 09 Jun 2010 06:51 AM PDT Today Vodafone U.K. announced that its customers can begin preordering the HTC Wildfire for a June 15th delivery. The HTC Wildfire will be free with a minimum £20 ($28.94) monthly plan. The HTC Wildfire offers HTC's Sense user interface on top of Android 2.1, and includes a 5 megapixel camera as well as a 3.2-inch touchscreen.
