Nokia launches bicycle cell phone charger Posted: 03 Jun 2010 06:04 AM PDT Today Nokia announced a new bicycle charger kit that includes a charger and a small electrical generator. The generator, also called a dynamo, uses the motion of your bike's wheels to charge your cell phone, which can be connected using a 2mm charging jack that Nokia says is "used on most Nokia mobile phones." Nokia hopes it will be used by those that have limited access to electricity. It will be available by the end of the year online and in select retailers. Nokia did not announce a price. The new version allows users to cache radio stations so that they can be played when there isn't a cell phone signal available.
