Apple Fine My iPhone application launches Posted: 18 Jun 2010 05:33 AM PDT Today Apple launched its new, and free, Find My iPhone application, a service that's available for download from the iTunes App Store. Find My iPhone will help you locate your iPad or iPhone if you lose it or if it's stolen. Using your MobileMe account, you can log in and find your phone, and even remotely wipe all of its data so that your information is safe. Apple apologizes for iPhone 4 preorder day difficulties Posted: 18 Jun 2010 05:29 AM PDT Apple recently announced that it had sold 600,000 of Apple's new iPhone 4 on June 15th. On the 16th, the company issued a statement addressing many complains that users weren't able to properly place their orders because Apple's systems were down. In its apology Apple said: "Many customers were turned away or abandoned the process in frustration. We apologize to everyone who encountered difficulties, and hope that they will try again or visit an Apple or carrier store once the iPhone 4 is in stock. Read the full story here. |
Vodafone U.K. announces iPhone 4 data plans Posted: 18 Jun 2010 05:26 AM PDT Today Vodafone announced its iPhone 4 data pricing plans. The 24 month plans cost between £25 ($37) and £60 ($89) per month. If you purchase the £25 plan, the iPhone 4 will cost your £219 ($325). If you choose the £60 plan, the device is free. Similarly, the 18 month plans cost between £30 ($44) and £65 ($96). The iPhone 4 costs £219 ($325) with the £30 plan and is free with the £65 tariff. Both plans only include 1GB of data. An additional 500MB costs £5 ($7.43), 1.5GB costs £10 ($14.87), and 3GB will set you back £15 ($22.31). Read the full story here. |
Motorola details Android 2.1 software upgrades Posted: 18 Jun 2010 05:19 AM PDT Motorola recently published a list of when it plans to upgrade its Android handsets to Android 2.1. According to the timeline, the CLIQ and CLIQ XT will be upgraded to Android 2.1 during Q2, the BACKFLIP on AT&T is expected to get the upgrade during Q3, and the DEVOUR is currently under evaluation.
