Verizon takes Samsung's side in case against Apple

Verizon Wireless has asked the U.S. court presiding over Apple's case against Samsung to deny an injunction against Samsung's products in the U.S. The carrier states that an injunction would be against the public's interest, and that it would slow the adoption and expansion of Verizon's next-generation, 4G LTE network.

AT&T is the second major carrier in the U.S. to release a version of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, following Sprint and its Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. AT&T's version is much more faithful to the original, global edition than Sprint's is, as it features the same 4.3-inch, WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution Super AMOLED display and square corners as the global model.

Google+ for iOS updated with video Hangouts

Google has updated the iOS version of its Google+ social networking app to add the features that the Android version gained earlier this week. Most notable is the ability to join video Hangout chats over both Wi-Fi and 3G connections, though there are number of other tweaks throughout the app.

FCC's net neutrality rules scheduled to take effect November 20

The Federal Communications Commission has released its final set of rules and laws that cover net neutrality and provide an open internet to users. The laws are scheduled to take effect on November 20 of this year, provided internet service providers and wireless carriers don't prevent that from happening.
