AT&T gives away 1,000 free rollover minutes to customers

This week, AT&T started sending messages to customers informing them that they can add 1,000 bonus rollover minutes to their account for free. All customers have to do is respond "YES" to the text message that was sent to their phones detailing the offer and the minutes will be added to their accounts. AT&T has not revealed why it has decided to offer the bonus minutes now, but the skeptical side of us thinks it might just have something to do with the recent cancellation of the company's A-List program. Either way, 1,000 free rollover minutes isn't a bad thing, assuming people actually talk on their cellphones anymore.

Apple claims Android started there in latest ITC complaint

Apple may be prepared to significantly shake up the Android ecosystem, if its latest filing with the International Trade Commission is recognized and has weight. In the filing, Apple claims that Andy Rubin, Google's head of mobile and the Android project, got inspiration for key parts of the platform during his time at Apple in the early nineties, long before the iPhone, Android, or even the iPod were invented.

Google Voice for Android updated with support for tablets

Yesterday, Google issued another update to its Google Voice app for Android, bringing the version up to 4.2.34. There is only one change listed for this new version, but it should make many owners of Android tablets happy. With this update, Google Voice now officially supports Android Honeycomb tablets. Users have been able to hack the phone version onto their tablets for some time now, but with this update, that trickery is no longer necessary. Verizon offers NFL Mobile with live streaming for free to 4G LTE customers

It's that time of year again, and thankfully, there will an NFL season to actually watch this year. To get ready for the season, Verizon Wireless has made its NFL Mobile app, which provides news, information, scores, schedules, video clips, audio broadcasts, and more available to Android smartphones on its network. As an added perk, users of 4G LTE smartphones will be able to access the NFL Mobile premium app for free all season, which provides live streaming video of the NFL Network, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and select Thursday Night Football games. Those with 3G smartphones will have to pony up $10 per month for Verizon Video to get access to more video than the standard NFL Mobile app offers. Users can download Verizon's NFL Mobile app now through the Verizon channel in the Android Market or by dialing **NFL.
