Google updates mobile search page once again

It was but two weeks ago that Google updated its mobile search page for smartphones with easy to use buttons to search for local places and services. Now the search giant is at it again, as it has added tabs and buttons at the top of the page to easily access the company's suite of services.

T-Mobile adds seven new markets to HSPA+ 4G coverage map

In addition to the announcement of the myTouch 4G Slide, T-Mobile has revealed seven new markets where you can take advantage of the 4G Slide's 4G data speeds. Barnstable, Mass.; Chico, Calif.; Lancaster, Penn.; Ogden, Utah; Redding, Calif.; Vineland, N.J., and Winchester, Va. are now all covered by T-Mobile's HSPA+ 4G network, bringing the total number of markets covered to 190, which the company claims covers 200 million people in the United States.

Google now activates 500,000 Android devices every day

Google's head of mobile, Andy Rubin, posted a tweet stating the latest stats regarding the growth of Android worldwide. Just a few months ago at Google I/O, the company announced that it was activating 400,000 new Android devices each day. Fast-forward to today and the claim is now 500,000 phones and tablets are activated per day, with that number growing 4.4 percent each week. The explosive growth can certainly be attributed to the diversity of Android smartphones and tablets that are on the market worldwide, and Android will likely continue to grow as Google pushes its OS further into developing markets.
