EA games for iOS and Android on sale for Memorial Day weekend

To celebrate the Memorial Day holiday, EA Games has put some of its most popular game titles for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets on sale. The list of titles on sale includes Madden NFL '11, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, The Sims 3, Tetris, and Scrabble - as well as many more. The sale should be running through Monday, so head on over to the iTunes App Store or the Android Market and grab some EA titles on the cheap.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Android Honeycomb tablet appears on FCC site

Samsung's newer, and smaller, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Android tablet has shown up on the FCC site recently. The Tab 8.9 features a super slim profile, a dual-core processor, and new TouchWiz user interface extensions that Samsung has layered on top of Android 3.1 Honeycomb. The super light tablet also sports dual cameras, 1GB of RAM, and will be offered in two variants; 16GB for $469 and 32GB for $569. Huawei wants to join the Windows Phone party too

Not to be outdone by its fellow Chinese competitor ZTE, Huawei has announced that it is looking at the Windows Phone market and is considering producing Windows Phone smartphones in the future.

SE Xperia PLAY now available for O2 UK in black or white

After many delays, Sony Ericsson's PlayStation certified gaming phone, the Xperia PLAY, is now available with O2. The phone comes in either black or white and is free on 37 GBP or higher pay monthly plans or for 429.99 GBP on pay&go plans. The PLAY runs on Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and offers a large 4-inch touchscreen as well as a full gamepad controller. Apple iPhone 4 now on sale in India

Indian mobile carrier Bharti Airtel, along with its smaller Indian rival Aircel, are now offering Apple's iPhone 4 on their respective networks. The 16GB uberphone is being offered by Aircel for 34,500 INR ($763) and 40,900 INR for the 32GB variant. India is the fastest-growing market for mobile phone services, and is currently the second-largest overall (China is number one), with almost 800 million mobile subscribers.
