Sprint offering consumers $50 and $125 credits to switch from competitors Posted: 14 Mar 2011 05:18 AM PDT Sprint is offering a special service credit to those who bring their phone number over from a different carrier. Customers who purchase a smartphone and port their number to Sprint will receive a $125 credit on their bill after 60 days of service, while those who purchase non-smartphones will receive a $50 credit. Windows Phone 7 now has 10,000 apps available Posted: 13 Mar 2011 10:03 AM PDT Microsoft reached a new milestone with its Windows Phone 7 app ecosystem: there are now more than 10,000 applications available in the Windows Phone Marketplace. Eleven days ago it was at 9,000 apps, so the growth is pretty significant and continues to move along at a swift pace. It hit the 10,000 app point in just over four and a half months, sooner than Android and iOS managed to do it. Now only if Microsoft would release the update for copy and paste, we'd be all set.
