Samsung Galaxy S II passes through FCC with AT&T 3G Posted: 11 Mar 2011 01:57 PM PST The new Samsung Galaxy S II has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission. This Android-powered smartphone made it through the FCC with support for the 850MHz and 1,900MHz 3G frequency bands necessary for connectivity on AT&T. Now, just because the Galaxy S II can function on AT&T's network doesn't necessarily mean that AT&T will pick up the device, but at least now we know that the mega-carrier has the option. Some features of the device include a dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch touchscreen, and the TouchWiz 4 user interface - all in a package less than 8.5mm thick. For a hands-on look at the Galaxy S II, see our video hands-on. Read the full story here. |
