The Huawei Ascend P1 is a surprisingly nice Android 4.0-powered smartphone that we first laid eyes on at CES 2012. It comes equipped with a 4.3-inch, qHD resolution Super AMOLED touchscreen display and is powered by a dual-core, 1.5GHz processor. It offers users a great level of build quality and quite beautiful to behold. Its 8 megapixel and relatively stock build of the Android user interface are sure to please as well.

Google begins roll out of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Nexus S smartphone

Google has revealed that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Google Nexus S smartphone has started to roll out to users on a number of carriers across the world. Google doesn't say specifically which carriers are deploying the update first, but it says that more will be launching the update in the near future. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean includes a number of enhancements over Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich, including smoother, faster performance, enhanced notifications, and Google's Now search feature.
