The updated version offers a new My Channels feature to smartphone users that lets them create and control custom radio stations built around a particular artist. Huawei Ascend P1 to be available from Vodafone in the UK starting next month Posted: 19 Jul 2012 07:54 AM PDT Huawei has announced that its Ascend P1 smartphone will be available for purchase in the UK starting next month. The Ascend P1 is an exceptionally thin Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, measuring only 7.69mm thick. It is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and features a 4.3-inch display with qHD resolution. Vodafone will be offering the P1 for free with monthly plans of 26 GBP or greater. Huawei says that it will be available from other retailers later on. Read the full story here. |
Google updates Play Music app with new UI, improved widget Posted: 19 Jul 2012 06:44 AM PDT Google has released an updated version of its Play Music app for Android smartphones and tablets. The new version includes a redesigned user interface, the ability to re-order currently playing music, a large album art view in the Recent section, and an improved home screen widget that displays album art and lets users thumbs up a song. Google also says that the new version is "harder, better, faster, stronger", implying that there are bug fixes and performance enhancements elsewhere throughout the app. Google Play Music is free and available in the Google Play Store now.
