T-Mobile may be one of the first carriers to offer the Samsung Galaxy S III in the U.S., but it is the last one to announce its pricing. That has changed today, as the carrier has finally announced what it plans to charge for the highly-anticipated smartphone. Additionally, T-Mobile has revealed that it does not expect to have enough quantities of the Galaxy S III to support a full nationwide launch on June 21 as originally planned.

Google Offers comes to the iPhone

Today, Google released a version of its Offers app for the iPhone. Previously available for Android, Google Offers lets users view and redeem coupons and deals right on their mobile devices. Users can track their previously redeemed offers, view a map of local deals, and get notifications for when new savings are available. Google Offers for the iPhone is free and available in the iTunes App Store now.

AT&T petitions FCC to use WCS 2.3GHz band for 4G LTE service

AT&T has submitted a proposal to the Federal Communications Commission asking for permission to use 2.3 GHz Wireless Communication Services (WCS) spectrum for 4G LTE service. AT&T already offers LTE service on the 700MHz band and will soon do so on the 1700MHz AWS frequency, as well.

Dolphin releases Engine Beta browser, claims to be the fastest browser on Android

There is no shortage of third-party browsers available for the Android platform, and Android 4.0 users even have the option to use the excellent Google Chrome Beta for Android, if they wish. But that isn't stopping Dolphin from improving on its own browser. The company has just released a beta version of Dolphin Browser HD called Dolphin Engine. Dolphin Engine is said to be the fastest HTML5 browser available for the Android platform.

SanDisk lays claim to world's fastest microSD cards with new Extreme Pro line

SanDisk has announced a new line of microSD cards for smartphones and tablets that it claims are the fastest microSD cards on the market. The new Extreme Pro microSD UHS-I card can read data at rates up to 95MB/sec and write data as fast as 90MB/sec.

ZTE launches Grand X LTE smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor

ZTE has taken the wraps off the Grand X LTE, a new Android smartphone headed to Asian and European markets soon. The Grand X LTE is the first ZTE smartphone to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 processor and an integrated LTE chipset.

LG ices tablet development to focus on smartphones

LG has revealed that it will be putting tablet development on hold in order to focus its efforts on its smartphone devices. LG has produced a couple of Android tablets under the Optimus Pad name, including one with built-in LTE connectivity. It's not clear how many tablets the company has sold, but it is likely they were not huge commercial successes. "We've decided to put all new tablet development on the back burner for the time being in order to focus on smartphones," noted an LG spokesperson in an email provided to Bloomberg.

Flipboard to soon feature Google+ stream integration

Google has revealed that it is working with Flipboard to bring Google+ streams to the social magazine app. Flipboard already offers the ability to view streams from Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram, but it has been unable to access the Google+ network until now. Users will be able to view posts, photos, videos, and other content shared to their Google+ streams from right within the Flipboard app. The new Google+ functionality is expected to be available in Flipboard in the near future.

Spotify launches free radio service for iOS users in the U.S.

Streaming music service Spotify announced today that it is launching a new radio feature for its iOS app. The new option will allow free Spotify users to stream music to their handsets without having to sign up for a premium subscription.
