Google now activating 900,000 new Android devices every day

Google's head of mobile, Andy Rubin, announced through his Twitter account last night that the company is now activating new Android devices at a rate of 900,000 per day. This is up from the 850,000 per day that Google reported back in April. At the pace that Android is growing, it likely won't be long before there are 1 million new Android activations each day. On a side note, Rubin also denied rumors that he has any plans to leave Google and the Android team.

Samsung Galaxy S III from AT&T, Verizon Wireless to lack 50GB Dropbox offer

During the original announcement for the Samsung Galaxy S III, it was revealed that buyers of the phone would be treated to 50GB of free online storage for two years from Dropbox, similar to the offer provided to HTC One series buyers (but just twice as much). Unfortunately, it appears that the offer for the Galaxy S III is contingent on each carrier that sells the phone, and it doesn't look like AT&T and Verizon Wireless will be playing ball.
