YouMail makes its way back to the Android Market

Earlier this week, voicemail app YouMail was unceremoniously pulled from the Android Market by Google due to a supposed complaint from T-Mobile that the app was detrimental to its network. The app is now back in the market, and the company has explained the reason as to why it was removed in the first place.

We are now halfway through the 10-day celebration of 10 billion apps having been downloaded from the Android Market. Day 5 brings us 9 new premium apps and one repeat from day 1, all available at that 10-cent price.

Verizon issues software update for Motorola DROID BIONIC

Verizon Wireless has released a software update for the Motorola DROID BIONIC that addresses a number of bugs and performance issues with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone. The carrier says that the update improves data connections to both 3G and 4G networks, fixes a bug that caused the phone to display a black screen and required a battery pull to resolve, improves performance with the Lapdock accessory, and fixes various other issues throughout the device. Users should get a notification on their phones when the update is available for them to download and install.
