AT&T to discontinue Video Share service

AT&T has confirmed with us via email that the carrier will cancel its Video Share service later this year. Video Share offered an option for users to share one-way video streams between compatible 3G phones before phones with front-facing cameras and video calling applications were commonplace. Video Share was originally introduced in 2007. AT&T insists that it is still going to participate in the mobile video arena, but would not speculate as to what might come in the future. Current Video Share customers have been notified that the service will end later this year.

Apple has responded to complaints from users of its iPad 2 tablet with 3G connectivity from Verizon Wireless. Users are reportedly having issues connecting the iPad 2 to Verizon's 3G network.

Motorola seeks 1,000 BRAVO testers for Android 2.2

Motorola has announced a beta testing program for the coming Android 2.2 Froyo update for its BRAVO smartphone on AT&T. The company is looking for 1,000 testers to try out the software update and provide feedback before it is released to the general public. Android 2.2 Froyo brings a number of enhancements including Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support and performances boosts. Motorola is also addressing a number of bugs with the BRAVO's software, as well as adding a Task Manager application to control open applications. Interested BRAVO owners can head over to Motorola's support forums to apply to be in the test group.

Samsung bada 2.0 to arrive in July, will hit India first

Samsung will reportedly release the second version of its proprietary smartphone OS, bada 2.0, in July of this year. It is said that the second version of the bada OS, which debuted only 10 months ago, will be first launched in India.
