Court orders Twitter to release personal info, data related to Wikileaks

Smartphone users note, your witty little posts and personal messages written in 140 characters on Twitter are probably not as private as you might expect. It has come to light that Twitter received a subpoena for information on a handful of its users related to the Wikileaks project. The court asked for information that includes which networks and IP addresses were used by Wikileaks members to access the site, as well as personal messages linked to those accounts. Twitter fought for, and won, the right to make the demand for information public. Wikileaks, for its part, believes that Google and Facebook have received similar demands for personal information.

WSJ: Verizon announcing Apple iPhone on Tuesday

While we all were calling it likely, The Wall Street Journal has come out and declared it to be true: Verizon Wireless will announce the coming of the Apple iPhone on Tuesday's press event in New York City. According to the WSJ's oft-referenced "people familiar with the matter", the nation's largest mobile carrier will announces in no uncertain terms that AT&T's hold on Apple's coveted smartphone platform will end. The Journal suggests that the Verizon iPhone will be very similar to AT&T's current iPhone 4 model, except that it will run on Verizon's CDMA based network.
