HTC unlikely to include Beats headphones with its smartphones Posted: 08 Apr 2012 03:17 PM PDT According to HTC product exec Martin Fichter, HTC has no real plans to continue to include Beats Audio headphones in its smartphone sales packages going forward. HTC owns a majority of the audio headphone company, having paid an estimated $300 million to gain access to its audio technology. HTC now believes that users are not buying smartphones based on the inclusion of Beats Audio headphones, but does plan on including the audio technology into its phones' built-in speakers.
