Sprint outs Android 4.0 ICS update for Google Nexus S 4G Posted: 05 Apr 2012 02:15 PM PDT Owners of the Google Nexus S 4G on Sprint can once again feel like they are a part of the Nexus family, as Sprint has released the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the oft-forgotten device. As with the Android 4.0 update for the GSM version of the Nexus S, the Nexus S 4G gains an updated user interface with improved multitasking and homescreens, plus camera enhancements and NFC utilities like Android Beam. Cricket adds Muve Music service to Huawei Mercury Posted: 05 Apr 2012 12:50 PM PDT Cricket is adding Muve Music, its unlimited streaming music service, to the Huawei Mercury Android smartphone through an over-the-air update. Muve Music is available as part of Cricket's $65 per month plan that also includes unlimited calling, text messaging, and data services. It offers a catalog of more than 5 million songs that can be streamed directly to a handset. Samsung Galaxy S Aviator 4G LTE smartphone now available from U.S. Cellular Posted: 05 Apr 2012 07:27 AM PDT U.S. Cellular has announced the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator, the carrier's first 4G LTE smartphone. The Aviator is very similar to the Samsung DROID Charge that was unveiled by Verizon Wireless last year, and features a 4.3-inch, Super AMOLED Plus display and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. ASUS Padfone hits Taiwanese shelves on April 20 Posted: 05 Apr 2012 07:20 AM PDT The ASUS Padfone, the company's idea for integrating a smartphone, tablet, and laptop experience into one device, will become a reality for Taiwanese shoppers on April 20. Apple iPhone expected to hit four more regional carriers on April 20 Posted: 05 Apr 2012 06:02 AM PDT Following the announcements from Alaska Wireless and nTelos, three more regional carriers have jumped on the Apple iPhone train, with a fourth expected to follow suit shortly.
