RIM offers free PlayBook tablets to enterprise customers

What's a company to do with a stockpile of product that it can't seem to move at regular price and doesn't move as quickly as it hoped at a discounted price? Give it away, of course. That seems to be RIM's strategy with its BlackBerry PlayBook, as it has announced a new promotion that offers a free, 16GB PlayBook tablet to enterprise customers that purchase a copy of its BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5. The deal is open until the end of the year and is available for customers throughout the U.S. and Canada (except Quebec).
