Apple pushed updated iTunes App Store interface to iPhone, iPad Posted: 21 Nov 2011 05:20 AM PST Last week Apple quietly updated the interface of the iTunes App Store on the iPhone and iPad to make it easier to browse the seemingly endless listings of apps available. The new interface changes are subtle, but they allow users to swipe between pages of apps, as opposed to tapping buttons to go back and forth between them. Below the pages of apps are the familiar dots that let users know what page they are on, much like the home screens on iOS devices. Additionally, hitting the back button after viewing an app will bring a user right back to where they were, as opposed to kicking them back to the main screen of the App Store. The updated iTunes App Store should be available for all users on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch now. Read the full story here. |

Both smartphones feature full QWERTY keyboards for text input and offer Google's Android operating system under the hood. Pantech Pocket Android smartphone for AT&T on sale now Posted: 20 Nov 2011 10:03 AM PST A new Android phone has been added to AT&T's lineup, the Pantech Pocket. The device offers a 4-inch touchscreen display with a retro-style 4:3 ratio aspect. Pantech claims it will give users a 20% larger viewing area compared to other devices. Other features include a 5MP camera with HD video recording capabilities, Bluetooth, and Google's Android Gingerbread operating system. AT&T is now offering the Titan to its customers for $199.99, with a qualifying two-year service agreement. The HTC Titan boasts a massive 4.7-inch touchscreen display, a zippy 1.5GHz processor, an 8MP camera with a wide angle lens, and, of course, Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 operating system. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE tablet available now from AT&T Posted: 20 Nov 2011 06:56 AM PST The LTE version of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 by Samsung is now available to AT&T customers. Both online and in stores, the tablet is available for $479.99, with a two year service agreement. AT&T is also throwing in a free Galaxy S II or Galaxy S II Skyrocket smartphone with the purchase of the tablet, with the catch that the smartphone also requires a two-year service agreement, as well. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 offers an obvious 8.9-inch touchscreen display with features otherwise similar to the Wi-Fi model, including a 1GHz, dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Samsung's TouchWiz interface, and both front and rear cameras. AT&T lights up 4G LTE in Las Vegas and 5 other cities Posted: 20 Nov 2011 05:58 AM PST AT&T is lighting up 4G LTE service in six new markets today (Sunday, November 20), including Charlotte, N.C., Indianapolis, Ind., Kansas City, Mo., Las Vegas, Nev., Oklahoma City, Okla., and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
