Apple yanks subscription gaming app from App Store sans explanation Posted: 25 Nov 2011 06:54 AM PST Earlier this week, an app entered the iTunes App Store that allowed users access to a library of games for a flat monthly fee. The subscription-based app by Big Fish Games used a model that was familiar to magazine publishers on the iPad, but was new for game developers. Apparently, Big Fish's app wasn't in line with Apple's plans, as the app has been yanked from the App Store without explanation. Read the full story here. |
RIM updates BlackBerry PlayBook with latest Adobe Flash Player, AIR Posted: 25 Nov 2011 05:56 AM PST Yesterday, RIM released an update for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet that adds the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR and addresses a few bugs. Version 1.0.8.4985 is said to improve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, update daylight savings time for Latin America, Australia, and Central America, address payment issues in the BlackBerry App World, and improve syncing with the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Users can update their PlayBook tablets by going to the Software Updates section of the settings menu. Read the full story here. |
