Roaming hopes shattered: Verizon 4G LTE phones incompatible with AT&T's planned LTE network

Verizon Wireless has let it be known that its 4G LTE based devices will not be compatible with AT&T's upcoming LTE network, even though the two carriers both support LTE in the 700MHz frequency spectrum block.

Touchscreens expected to hit $13.4 billion in revenue thanks to smartphone, tablet demand

According to a report by research firm Display Search, touchscreen modules are expected to hit $13.4 billion in revenue this year, and reach $23.9 billion by 2017.

Sony Ericsson reports losses for Q2 2011, points finger at Japanese earthquake

Sony Ericsson has released its Q2 2011 financial results, and they were not very positive, to say the least. The company reported losses in double digit percentages, and claims supply constraints were a huge factor in the poor performance during Q2.
