Google+ app submitted to App Store for iPhone, awaiting approval

Google's latest venture into social networking, Google+, comes with a great app for Android smartphones that lets users access their feed, upload photos, and participate in group chats. Unfortunately for iOS users, a native app has not been available, forcing the use of the web browser for all Google+ related business. Those who choose an iPhone over an Android device shouldn't have to wait too much longer for a full-fledged app, though, as Google has announced that the iOS version of Google+ has been submitted to the App Store and is pending approval from Apple.

Apple iPhone to be eligible for standard insurance from AT&T

According to a new document outlining AT&T's Mobile Insurance plan, which covers pretty much anything that can happen to a phone, including loss or theft, the carrier is making some drastic changes to iPhone eligibility within the program, which will surprisingly enough benefit the consumer.

Apple loses patent case against S3 Graphics

The U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that Apple has infringed on two patents held by S3 Graphics. The patents in question cover image data formats and image compression. Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and many other tech companies have already established licensing agreements with S3 to use the patents. This initial decision will be reviewed in a final decision that is set for November. Should S3 win that decision, the company could block Apple from selling and importing hardware and software in the U.S. that infringes upon its patents, though a licensing agreement would be a much more likely result.

Scientists: evidence points away from link between cellphones and cancer

Despite the recent reclassification of cellphone as being "possibly carcinogenic" by the World Health Organization, an international group of experts in the matter claim that the evidence from recent studies points away from there being a link between cellphone use and brain tumors.
