Palm's head of software and services resigns Posted: 17 Apr 2010 10:30 AM PDT Palm filed a report with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week stating the resignation of Michael Abbott, the senior vice president of software and services with the company. Security issues found in Palm's webOS operating system Posted: 17 Apr 2010 09:59 AM PDT A new report that will be issued next week by Intrepidus, a consulting firm, claims that there are large security flaws in Palm's webOS operating system, according to CNBC's Jim Goldman. The security hole could allow users to control the device remotely, including stealing contacts or dialing remotely, Barron's reports. Intrepidus CEO Aaron Higbee told Goldman that "Palm released this webOS with prior knowledge that these web app vulnerabilites existed." Read the full story here. |
