Samsung launches Nook powered Galaxy Tab 4 10.1

Samsung's new(ish) relationship with Barnes & Noble has already resulted in one new product, the Nook powered Galaxy Tab 4. The union has now doubled its product range with the announcement of the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, a larger Nook/Galaxy slate that is as much full blown tablet as it is e-reader.

Competing with device with beefier specs, the smooth and light iOS has always ensured that Cupertino's slate it always among the fastest on the market. Google confirms Android 5.0 for November 3

Google has today confirmed that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be released on November 3rd, tallying up with previous reported dates for the roll out. A note sent out to developers confirmed the news and prompted them to start developing for the Android 5.0 SDK from the stated date. Devs can now publish apps to the Google Play Store ready for the launch of Android 5.0.

Nexus 6 could be late coming to the UK

Google launched its new smartphone last week, the Motorola built Nexus 6 and confirmed that it would be up for pre-orders in the United States this week. However, there is still no official launch date for the handset and the due date for the Nexus 6 in other major markets is even sketchier. It does seem as though delays are imminent.

Nobody does market saturation quite like Samsung. Just in case you needed a new flavour of the company's Galaxy S5 smartphone the Korean giant has issued the Galaxy S5 Plus in Europe. The device showed up on a Dutch Samsung page and joins the normal Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 LTE-A, but do we really need this device?

While the wider Android Wear 4.4W2 update is rolling out with offline music, GPS, and other tweaks, Motorola has decided to give its Moto360 smartwatch even more attention. The company has thrown the proverbial kitchen sink at this latest patch and has included various enhancements including UI changes, improvement to battery life (yay), and more.

Verizon updates HTC One M8 with EYE Experience

T-Mobile got there first when it announced its EYE Experience update for the HTC One M8, but now Verizon is following suit today. Big Red has confirmed that its own update for the One M8 is landing today bringing the new EYE Experience software to its variant of the smartphone flagship.
