Nexus 9 to have expandable storage, launches tomorrow Posted: 14 Oct 2014 04:43 PM PDT With the launch of a new Nexus smartphone and tablet just around the corner, we are hearing more and more about the upcoming devices. We have heard plenty about the Motorola built Nexus smartphone, but the HTC built Nexus 9 tablet has proved more of an enigma, with plenty of false reports creeping out. Of course then, we are taking this latest rumor with a pinch of salt until launch day on October 15th (Google's scheduled date). Read the full story here. |
Dropbox says that its service was not hacked Posted: 14 Oct 2014 08:58 AM PDT There have been plenty of high profile security issue of late, not least Apple's iCloud hack where dozens of nude images of celebrities leaked online. Android of course is also consistently the subject of security breaches, but the cloud is particularly causing concern for people at the moment as masses of personal data seem to be leaking and being hacked. A closer look at the iPad Air 2 A8X processor Posted: 14 Oct 2014 08:35 AM PDT The new iPad is due to launch on October 16th when Apple has a launch event in Cupertino for its tablet range. While a new iPad Mini and even an iPad Pro have been discussed, the focus is of course on the iPad Air 2, the newest version of Apple's flagship slate. Vertu Bentley Signature Touch launches for lots of money Posted: 14 Oct 2014 07:55 AM PDT I've never understood the need for devices like the ones made from Vertu. These are luxury device that sell for upwards of $10,000 and feature high end build materials but much the same specs that you will find on a normal flagship device. However, I am not thinking about which yacht to vacation on this winter or which island I should buy next year, or how many staff I need to maintain my fleet of cars. Read the full story here. |
Verizon begins DROID Turbo countdown, launches October 28th Posted: 14 Oct 2014 06:04 AM PDT We are pretty familiar with the upcoming DROID Turbo, so much so that there will have to be a fairly substantial surprise at launch for this not to be everything we expect it to be. Xiaomi says Jony Ive should test its device amid accusations of copying Posted: 14 Oct 2014 05:43 AM PDT Apple has unsurprisingly taken a hard stance against companies who copy their devices and Cupertino's chief designer Jony Ive has been particularly vocal on the matter. When we think of knock off devices we think of cheap Chinese offerings from nondescript brands; sure, Apple has accused Samsung of copying, but we do not associate this kind of thing with a major tech brand.
