Sharp's AQUOS Crystal lands on Sprint and Boost Mobile Posted: 10 Oct 2014 03:27 PM PDT You may remember the AQUOS Crystal, the screen to edge device launched by Sharp a couple of months ago and confirmed to be heading to US carrier Sprint. Well, I have played around with the handset and can say that the lack of bezels around the edge is just mind blowing, and it is a decent mid-range workhorse too. Sprint has now rolled out the device on its pre-paid purchase plan, while subsidiary Boost Mobile has also confirmed it will be carrying the handset. Read the full story here. |
Google Nexus 6 launch on October 15th Posted: 10 Oct 2014 03:14 PM PDT Earlier this month there were several reports that Google would be launching its new Nexus products on October 16th. However, Apple announced its new iPad launch event for the 16th, which mean Google probably wouldn't be going toe to toe with Cupertino. While success have been had in the past (the iPhone and DROID for example) more often than not these days such exclusivity limits a handsets appeal and they are often poor sellers. So, it is a little puzzling why HTC has decided to make its pretty darn fantastic Desire EYE and exclusive with AT&T. Read the full story here. |
Verizon updates Samsung Galaxy S4 with new features Posted: 10 Oct 2014 09:45 AM PDT Verizon has confirmed a new update today for its variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 that will bring a number of changes to the handset. It is worth noting that this is not a new Android patch for Samsung?s 2013 released flagship smartphone. However, this patch will bring some new functionality to the GS4 and should enhance the general performance of the device. Read the full story here. |
HTC rolls out ETE Experience and Android 4.4.4 to One M8 Posted: 10 Oct 2014 05:23 AM PDT HTC launched the Desire EYE a couple of days ago, a new mid-range (nay flagship) smartphone with a dual camera setup of 13 megapixel lens on the rear and 13 megapixel lens on the front. Aside from the high res modules, HTC also showed off some accompanying software called the EYE Experience that offers a bunch of features. The company said the EYE Experience would be rolling out to a number of other HTC handsets soon and now it is arriving on the One M8. Read the full story here. |
