When Google first announced Android L (as it was then) at the company?s I/O developers conference back in June, a bunch of companies quickly laid down their plans for updating their devices. Now that Android 5.0 Lollipop has found its way to an official release, those companies are now reconfirming when their products will get a lick of brand new Android goodness.

The LG G3 is still doing well and sits among the current crop of flagships as a true competitor with some of the best specs and a slick design too. However, the smartphone world is always looking forward and so LG knows that it needs to build on the G3's momentum. The G4 is obviously still in development, but it was now be met with huge expectations when it lands next year, and seems LG is upping the ante again.
