Best Buy is the biggest retailer for the iPhone other than Apple Posted: 24 Mar 2012 07:56 AM PDT Everyone pretty much knows that Apple has no trouble selling the iPhone, whether that be through online sales, or in retail stores. What people might not realize, though, is how much of that selling is done for Apple by Best Buy. A new study on recent iPhone sales says that among non-carrier retailers, Best Buy is second only to Apple itself in the number of iPhones it moves. Read the full story here. |
RIM to give developers BlackBerry 10 prototypes at upcoming event Posted: 24 Mar 2012 06:21 AM PDT RIM has announced that it plans to provide developers that attend an upcoming event with BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices. The devices are pre-production prototypes that run a modified version of the PlayBook OS. They are supposed to help developers prepare their apps for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones. RIM stresses that this will only be provided to developers that attend its BlackBerry Jam event in May, and it will not be sold commercially. Read the full story here. |
People in Philadelphia lose their phones most often, says Lookout Posted: 24 Mar 2012 05:59 AM PDT Mobile security developer Lookout has released the results of data culled from its Lookout security application users that list the cities in the U.S. where people are most likely to lose their phones.
