Network equipment theft causes Vodafone service outages in UK

According to Bloomberg, some Vodafone customers were without voice, data, and text message services after someone stole some of Vodafone's network hardware. Vodafone is working to get its network back up to normal as soon as possible.

Consumer Reports says Verizon's iPhone has same "death grip" issues as AT&T's

Consumer Reports has been one of the most vocal critics of Apple's iPhone 4, due to the external design of its antenna. It was thought that the new version of the device, which runs on Verizon's network, would manage to avoid the death grip issues that plagued AT&T's model, but CR says that is simply not the case. The publication claims that a single misplaced finger can still cause droped calls in weak signal areas, something that does not happen with the other Verizon devices it tested at the same time. CR notes that the Apple "bumper" case does fix the problem.

Google removes Visual VoiceMail from Android market, presumably over payment issues

Google has removed the popular Visual VoiceMail application by PhoneFusion from the Android Market, stating that the app violates the Market's terms. PhoneFusion believes it is being singed out do to payment method issues.
