Motorola XOOM could hit Best Buy on February 24 for $800

According to a leaked Best Buy advertisement, Best Buy may begin offering the Motorola XOOM Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet on February 24 for $799.99. It will also offer four different monthly data plan packages for the tablet.

Nokia this morning has announced it has started shipping its latest smartphone, the E7. The E7 is a Symbian^3 powered smartphone that's geared towards business users with its full QWERTY keyboard. It also offers a large 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, USB on-the-go support, a 3.5mm headphone jack with TV-out, free Ovi Maps with navigation, and an 8MP camera. Sprint may announce Android powered Kyocera Echo during NYC event tonight

According to Bloomberg, Sprint will announce a new Kyocera Android smartphone called the Echo during a press event in New York City tonight. Little else was revealed about the phone or Sprint's potential plans, but we've been invited to the event and will be reporting from it tonight. Stay tuned for more information.

Vodafone to offer Google Nexus S Android Gingerbread smartphone

Vodafone has announced today that it is adding the Google Nexus S to its smartphone line-up. The Nexus S is the first handset to offer Google's latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The Nexus S is manufactured by Samsung and features a curved 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, a 5MP camera/camcorder, and a second VGA front-facing camera for video chats. The Nexus S also supports near field communications (NFC) technology. No word on pricing or availability has been announced at this time. Survey suggests nearly half of Verizon Android/BlackBerry users to switch to iPhone

A survey by uSamp with a small sample population is suggesting that nearly half of Verizon's Android and BlackBerry smartphone users are likely to switch to the Apple iPhone 4 when it becomes available on February 10.
