Advent Vega tablet gets official Adobe Flash support Posted: 12 Feb 2011 02:48 AM PST Until recently Adobe had not given the certification required to run the Flash Player on Advent's Vega - a Tegra 2 powered tablet. This meant that some early tablets had to be shipped without Flash support. But now Advent Vega owners are able to update their OS to version 1.09, which will bring Flash support to these tablets. Samsung Galaxy S 4G smartphone to be offered at Radio Shack for $149.99 Posted: 11 Feb 2011 01:36 PM PST T-Mobile has added the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S 4G to its online web store as a "coming soon" model, but the folks over at Radio Shack are also looking to add the handset to their line-up. The Galaxy S 4G, the successor to the Samsung Vibrant, is the latest Galaxy S-class smartphone to be offered by the carrier. This Android powered handset will offer a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, run Android 2.2 Froyo, and is capable of achieving peak HSPA+ downloads speeds of 21Mbps. The Galaxy S 4G for T-Mobile is expected to be offered for $149.99 - according to the leaked Radio Shack document - and requires a two year qualifying service agreement. Read the full story here. |

Vodafone UK hints at Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablet Posted: 11 Feb 2011 05:20 AM PST On its Facebook page, Vodafone UK hints at upcoming devices and includes a video link to a post that speculates about an upcoming Android Honeycomb tablet, possibly the Galaxy Tab 2 from Samsung. It's possible that Vodafone possible that Vodafone posted it to build discussion around Honeycomb tablets in general, but perhaps there's a Galaxy Tab 2 in its future, too.
