Sprint BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 available today Posted: 26 Sep 2010 04:03 AM PDT The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 is now available from Sprint. The Curve 3G offers a 2 megapixel camera, 512MB of flash memory, a 2GB microSD card, and a full QWERTY keyboard. The Curve 3G 9330 runs the BlackBerry 5 operating system, but will get an update for the latest BlackBerry 6 OS sometime in 2011. It's available from Sprint online now for $49.99 with a 2-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in-rebate. The phone is set to debut in Sprint retail stores beginning on October 10 2010. Apple's iPhone 4 launches to crowds in China Posted: 25 Sep 2010 08:16 AM PDT The iPhone 4 launched in China this morning. According to Michael Kan, covering the event for IDG News Service, more than 1,000 people were lining up outside one of Apple's retail locations at the Xidan Joy City mall, one of just two Apple retail locations. The Xidan Joy City mall allowed some line-waiters, who waited in line for over two days for the phone, to sleep in the mall. China Unicom said that 50,000 users preordered the device. Vodafone U.K. delays BlackBerry Torch 9800 launch Posted: 25 Sep 2010 08:09 AM PDT Like Rogers, Vodafone U.K. has also delayed its launch of the BlackBerry Torch 9800. It's currently unknown why the phone has been delayed on both carriers, but Vodafone U.K. should be shipping the device on October 1, instead of on September 27. Sony Ericsson: No plans for future Symbian phones Posted: 25 Sep 2010 08:04 AM PDT Sony Ericsson has said that it has no plans to continue developing phones running the Symbian operating system. "We have no plans for the time being to develop any new products to the Symbian Foundation standard or operating system," a Sony Ericsson spokesperson told Bloomberg. Sony Ericsson's chief creation officer, Rikko Sakaguchi, said that the firm has made a significant shift to support Android instead. Read the full story here. |
