LG adding swipe-based DLNA support to smartphones

Today from the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany, LG announced that it will be adding a new swipe-based DLNA media sharing function to its Optimus 7 smartphones that will be available later this year.

Video: Hands-on with the Archos 10 Android tablet

During the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, we had a chance to meet up with Archos to check out its lineup of new Android powered tablets. Among them was the Archos 10, which, as its name suggests, sports a large 10-inch touchscreen display.

Apple iOS 4.1 to possibly launch September 8

According to Apple's UK website yesterday, its new operating system, iOS 4.1, is set to debut this coming Wednesday, September 8. iOS 4.1 is the first major update to iOS 4 and is expected to add a host of new features, including HD video uploading, HDR photography, and Game Center, a multi-player system. The software update is also expected to fix numerous bugs found in Apple's iOS 4 operating system, including the proximity sensor and Bluetooth. Apple has since updated its web page to say "Coming Soon" regarding the iOS 4.1 software update.
