Reuters is quoting sources "familiar with the matter" that say Google's Andy Rubin, create or Android, has been making the rounds with music publishers about a Google music service, and that the music industry is excited to see Apple get some competition.

T-Mobile USA may offer Huawei's IDEOS Android-powered smartphone

According the WSJ, T-Mobile USA may be in talks to bring Huawei's affordable Android IDEOS smartphone to its customers. The newly announced IDEOS is a touchscreen device that offers the latest version of the Android operating system, 2.2 Froyo.

Google settles Buzz privacy class-action lawsuit

Filed Friday in federal court in San Jose, California, Google has decided to settle a class-action lawsuit over its Buzz social networking service. Buzz was launched in February by the Internet giant as an alternative to sites like Facebook and Twitter and caused a stir with users as some of its users' information was being made public with the new service. If the settlement is approved, Google will pay $8.5 million for settlement, which includes attorney fees.
