Motorola teases new Verizon phone for September 5 event in New York Posted: 18 Aug 2012 07:30 AM PDT Motorola is expected to announce a new phone at a press event in New York City next month. The Google subsidiary has invited MobileBurn to attend a September 5 event that will show "Motorola. On Display." A Verizon Wireless logo also appears, so the clues teased on the invitation signal that Motorola will announce a new Android phone with an HD display. The company recently introduced the Atrix HD for AT&T and the Photon Q for Sprint, which are both sequels to phones released in 2011. Could a RAZR HD follow-up be in the cards for Verizon?
