Samsung, Boost, and Virgin announcing "big" news on Aug. 22 Posted: 10 Aug 2012 09:30 AM PDT Samsung, Boost Mobile, and Virgin Mobile plan to share some interesting news later this month. The trio of companies has sent MobileBurn a joint-invitation to an event that promises "big mobile news." There aren't many clues about what exactly that news will entail; however, it's safe to guess that Samsung is launching a new Android phone on Boost and Virgin, two MVNO's that operate using Sprint's network. The Galaxy Prevail is Samsung's best-selling phone in the U.S., so perhaps the company has a higher-quality upgrade for the prepaid market. Box adds features to iOS and Android cloud storage apps Posted: 10 Aug 2012 08:31 AM PDT Box, a cloud storage provider accessible on the web or through mobile apps, has updated its Android and iOS clients. The new Box for iPhone and iPad app can now save photos or videos to the Photos app. It also adds enhancements to OneCloud, a collaboration tool for people working on multiple devices, and improves the way that files upload. The Box Android client improves security and file management. Box users can now move or copy files to new locations, and selecting multiple files or folders is now possible by long-pressing. HTC updates global One X to Android 4.0.4, promises ICS for other phones later this month Posted: 10 Aug 2012 06:29 AM PDT HTC is still committed to providing Android 4.0 updates to phones that are capable of handling the new firmware. Samsung unveils Exynos 5 Dual processor with eye-catching specs Posted: 10 Aug 2012 05:46 AM PDT Samsung has shared details on the Exynos 5 Dual, a system-on-a-chip with a dual-core 1.7GHz processor based on ARM Cortex-A15 architecture.
