Palm rolling out webOS 1.4.5 despite bugs Posted: 15 Jul 2010 12:29 PM PDT When Palm began rolling out webOS 1.4.5 to German and French networks, it was noted that the update included a bug which wasn't updated the /etc/fstab file system, which caused the media/internal drive to be marked as read-only for PDK applications. Today, Palm said that despite that bug, it's still rolling out webOS 1.4.5. "We've spent the last week attempting to address this issue in a way that would not require restarting the carrier certification process, but we've concluded that this is not possible. Restarting certification would delay 1.4.5 substantially and could result in some wireless operators not taking the update at all," Palm said on its developer forums. The next update should fix the problem. Read the full story here. |
