HTC pushing out update for Touch Pro2 and HD mini handsets

Report: Apple dropping restocking fee on iPhone 4

After Apple said in a press release that dissatisfied customers could return their iPhone 4 smartphones within 30 days for a "full refund", Computer World reports that an Apple rep has confirmed that returns are possible without having to pay Apple's typical 10% restocking fee.

Best Buy sells an Android-powered Samsung Intercept for Sprint a week early

It appears that an overzealous Best Buy employee has sold a shiny new, and as-yet unreleased, Samsung Intercept for Sprint to a lucky consumer. The device is thought to launch officially on July 11 and is considered to be the successor to the Samsung Moment.

Palm issues webOS 1.4.5 update for France's SFR (or maybe Sprint); Verizon and AT&T not mentioned

HP and Palm recently issued a new webOS update, 1.4.5, that offers minor fixes and enhancements to the existing webOS used on Palm's Pre smartphone. The update includes a fix for podcast downloads, text input, and also addresses several security issues, but appears to only be available for devices on France's SFR network at this time, in spite of the URL and page title stating Sprint.

Google to offer subscription tools to developers, pushing Android into India and China

LG confirms Android-based Optimus "Tablet PC" for Q4

Today in a Korean language press release LG announced that it will launch an Android-powered tablet PC during the fourth quarter of 2010 as part of its new Optimus line. The company provided no other details of the upcoming device. The company said the following of the new device: "Running on the Android Platform, LG's tablet will deliver vastly superior performance than other similar devices currently on the market while still managing to be thinner and lighter than competing devices."
