Manual Android 2.2 Froyo update for Nexus One discovered

Thanks to some sleuthing by the guys at XDA-Developers.com, the official Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Nexus One has been located on a Google server. The safe way to get your Nexus One updated to Android 2.2 is to wait for your phone to notify you that the over the air update is available, but if you just can't bear to be without the latest and greatest, get the file from XDA-Developers and then follow the directions found on Android Police to apply the update manually.

Apple iPad Wi-Fi + 3G now shipping in the U.K.

According to U.K. based readers of MacDailyNews who pre-ordered Apple's iPad WiFi + 3G, their devices are starting to ship. Shipment alerts and tracking information are being received by consumers in the United Kingdom via email now.
