iOS 6 available for Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch Posted: 19 Sep 2012 01:03 PM PDT Apple has begun rolling out its iOS 6 update for its range of mobile devies. The latest version of Apple's software for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch is available for download now through iTunes 10.7. The update adds new maps, integration with Facebook, the ability to use FaceTime over cellular, and several other software enhancements. Due to hardware limitations and carrier restrictions, not all features will be available on all devices, but users can browse Apple's highlighted features while they wait for their phone or tablet to update to iOS6. Samsung Galaxy Note II coming to U.S. Cellular for $299.99 in late October Posted: 19 Sep 2012 08:22 AM PDT U.S. Cellular has announced that it will sell the Samsung Galaxy Note II next month. Samsung already confirmed that U.S. Cellular would join the four major operators as carriers of the Galaxy Note II, and the regional carrier has added specifics for its price. The Galaxy Note II will go on sale for $299.99 after mail-in rebate on a two-year agreement in late October. The phone will be compatible with U.S. Cellular's 4G LTE network in select areas and will sell for $299.99 after instant rebate for customers who pre-order the phone, which customers can do beginning today.
