Sprint releasing Samsung Moment firmware update Posted: 22 Oct 2010 08:38 AM PDT Today Sprint announced that it is releasing the DJ07 firmware update for the Samsung Moment, which will address some minor problems with the phone, such as the proximity sensor and screen lock, and 911 emergency calling. Nokia C7 smartphone offers NFC support Posted: 22 Oct 2010 07:02 AM PDT According to people who have spent time with the C7, the device offers support for near-field communications (NFC). Nokia hasn't said where NFC might be used, although a number of banks have noted intentions to support NFC tap-and-go style transactions in the future. Motorola DEFY Android smartphone headed to T-Mobile UK Posted: 22 Oct 2010 05:51 AM PDT T-Mobile UK has posted that the Motorola DEFY is "coming soon," on its website. The Motorola DEFY is a "life proof" Android smartphone that offers a water and dust resistance, and is scratch proof. It also offers a 3.7-inch touchscreen display. Samsung Galaxy Tab headed to T-Mobile UK Posted: 22 Oct 2010 05:48 AM PDT T-Mobile UK has posted a splash page stating that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is due to land in November. The Galaxy Tab is an Android 2.2 powered tablet with a 7-inch touchscreen display. T-Mobile UK says the device has a 1.2GHz processor, although we've only heard of a 1GHZ model.
