AT&T's HTC One X blocked from using bootloader unlock tool

The HTC One X for AT&T is due to hit shelves tomorrow, and while it is a fantastic smartphone through and through (seriously, check out our review, it's great), not all buyers will be happy when they get the One X in their hands. Apparently, the bootloader unlock tool that HTC provides for many of its smartphones does not work with AT&T's version of the One X, and it seems that the carrier is the one to blame here.

Facebook adds read receipts, improved location data to Messenger apps for iOS, Android

Facebook released updated versions of its Messenger app for iOS and Android devices this week that include the ability to to see when a recipient has read a message. These read receipts, which were made popular by RIM's BlackBerry Messenger service, work in both individual and group message threads. The update also adds clearer indications as to when the other parties are typing a message. Finally, if other users have their location settings enabled, the app now displays the name of the town or city from where a message was sent in-line with the rest of the conversation. The updated Messenger apps are free and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or the Google Play Store now.
