Video: Samsung HM3500 Modus Bluetooth headset

This is a look at the stereo capable Samsung HM3500 Modus Bluetooth headset, which was announced earlier this week. The Modus supports stereo playback by attaching a set of wired ear buds to the headset's micro-USB port.

RadioShack may soon be for sale, or may merge with Best Buy

According to a New York Post article today, RadioShack may be up for sale soon. The company is considering share buybacks or selling itself for "more than 3 billion." The New York Post also said a Best Buy merger is possible. A sale may not happen for weeks or months. In other news, RadioShack may become the nation's second largest third-party retailer of the Apple iPhone if it begins selling it on March 28th, as some rumors anticipate.

Calling Budapest with Skype mobile for Verizon Wireless

Skype mobile launched yesterday for a handful of compatible Verizon Wireless smartphones. I gave it a test run on my Motorola DROID and called my girlfriend in Budapest as one of my test calls. Here are my first impressions of the software.

Nokia purchases browser developer Novarra Inc.

Today Nokia announced that it has purchased Novarra, Inc., a browser development firm based in Chicago with 100 employees. Nokia plans to launch Novarra's browser on its Series 40 devices later this year. The acquisition will close in the second quarter of 2010.

Deutsche Telekom AG not planning to sell T-Mobile USA

During CTIA in Las Vegas, Deutsche Telekom AG's chief executive Rene Obermann told The Wall Street Journal that his company does not plan to sell T-Mobile USA.

Voafone UK opens up Sony Ericsson X10 Android smartphone preorders

Today Vodafone UK announced that its customers can now preorder the Android powered Sony Ericsson X10. The device will be available on April 2nd for free with a 2-year £35 ($52) monthly contract with 900 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500MB of modbile internet.

Sprint's LG Rumor Touch QWERTY feature phone available March 28th for $79.99

Back in January Sprint announced that it would carry the LG Rumor Touch a feature phone with a touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard. Today Sprint announced that the device will be available in red and purple on March 28th for $79.99 with a 2-year contract and a $50 mail-in-rebate.
