The patent wars have become time-consuming and expensive for several companies, but the sale of Kodak's patent library may not be as big a resource drain as expected. The companies most likely to raise the sale price with competing bids are rumored to form a consortium to purchase the patents.

T-Mobile updates Samsung Galaxy S III to fix bugs and remove Universal Search

Microsoft resumes Windows Phone app publishing

Windows Phone 7.5 devices can once again access the full slate of Windows Phone apps. Microsoft says it has fixed the problem that caused some phones to display error messages when attempting to download certain apps. The company discovered that backend changes to the Windows Phone Dev Center created digital certificate errors in some cases, which led to failed download attempts on phones that upgraded to Windows Phone 7.5. Microsoft ceased publishing apps for two days while it worked to fix the problem, but the Marketplace began displaying new apps again yesterday. Apps should be fully restored within the next 48 hours.

Google Voice Search for Android adds 13 new languages

Google announced today that its Voice Search app for the Android platform, not to be confused with the Google Now-like iOS app of the same name, now supports 13 additional languages. Voice Search now supports a total of 42 languages.
